A Taste of Purple

Welcome to A Taste of Purple, a roguelike movement shooter home to a dozen ideas that somehow come together. You play as a mad mage of The False Rainbow, utilizing an array of weapons and skills of various magical relevance (one weapon is just a straight up gun) in the search for but a taste of the one color you've yet to conquer. Purple.

On your search, you've entered the depths of The False Rainbow itself, with purple feeling ever closer. The rainbow has sent forth an army of it's wielders to stop you, but you merely use them as fuel. Killing them grants you spell components which combine into an assortment of spells that showcase your dominance of the rainbow.

In combination, there is nothing but time between you, and A Taste of Purple.

As much as I'd like to say that this project is merely early in development, that would be making the claim that it will continue development into the future. A Taste of Purple was a college thesis, but as I've approached the version shown here, the same version shown to my thesis board, the passion behind it has changed to a yearn for rest. I offer it to you here now because I don't feel it fair to let it collect dust in the dark. If you play it, leave a comment. Tell me what you liked, if anything, and tell me what you didn't.
